We made our reset on Open Table and our table was ready when we arrived. We tried most of the Happy Hour apps and everything was delicious! Service was fast and friendly! Thanks for a great time!

Absolutely amazing experience. My husband and I went on March 19, with a reservation booked for 9. We arrived a bit early at 830 and had no problems getting seated. The hostess brought us complimentary water as soon as we sat down (right beside the live music, the Angry Pants were playing, great entertainment!) On my receipt, it says our waitresses name was Skira 2. She was amazing! Very kind and made sure we were taken care of. In terms of food, we started with nachos, then my husband got the Fish Burger and I got the steak. We shared a dessert. Every single piece of food we encountered was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely phenomenal. Before tip, the food was about 100 after tax. Beyond a fair price for such quality food! Will be going again, hopefully soon. Wonderful addition to North Bay.

We have now been here a handful of times and tend to always look forward to the next time. This place has hired some seriously good chefs. From appetizers to main entrees everything is fresh, tasty, flavorful, filling and a pleasing experience. The fish and chips is a MUST, no excuses. The batter is a beautiful golden color with a deep crunch and the fish itself is a fresh light taste. The Tarter sauce complements the battered fish well and the fries are the perfect kinda thick. Definitely a dish that feeds the soul. The 2nd dish we shared was the Grilled Chicken Green Goddess and it was well balanced with all the combination of elements. The 6 minute eggs were perfectly done and I think it may have been pickled with the onions in the dish as it has the same light pink tint color and sweet prickly taste. The chicken breast was smoky with a hit of chard in the background, very well done with a juicy texture; Cooked perfectly couldn't have done it better. For dessert we had a slice of chocolate cake. It's presentation was nice but not in the same league as the meal itself. We are sure it wasn't baked there as it didn't hold the same level of quality it taste however not bad. I wouldn't say we wouldn't get it again but it didn't leave the same feeling as the rest of the meal did. Still decent just no WOW factor. The staff is attentive, respectful, and well coordinated. They did everything on point from drinks, ordering and checking up once dishes were served. Recommend this place Look forward to trying more on the menu next time.

I came here right before the kitchen closed. And got the Thai peanut chicken salad and oh boy, was it amazing! I get it with out cilantro bit man what a huge salad:) sauce is great, crisp lettuce and the crunchy won tons yummy. Was exactly what the menu said i would get. Well, worth the money and the bar server Jamie, was extremely friendly, quick and and assured me it was ok to order food because they kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. Great experience.

Location

Welcome to Match Eatery & Public House, a culinary gem nestled in North Bay, Ontario, located at 300 Pinewood Park Dr. As a food reviewer of Res Menu, I’m excited to share my thoughts on this vibrant establishment that has quickly become a favorite among locals and travelers alike.

Match Eatery prides itself on combining a lively atmosphere with an exceptional dining experience. The ambiance is friendly and welcoming, thanks to the attentive staff who create a positive vibe that makes every visit special. Customers rave about their experiences, noting the amazing service alongside the delicious food. It’s no surprise that one delighted patron, Leanne Mclean, proclaimed it as the "best restaurant food I've ever had!" Such enthusiasm speaks volumes about the culinary prowess at Match Eatery.

The menu at Match Eatery is a delightful fusion of flavors, featuring a variety of options that cater to every palate. Whether you're indulging in crispy fish and chips—renowned for its golden batter and fresh fish—or the juicy burger that patrons can't stop praising, every dish is prepared with attention to detail and creativity. Notably, Satt F. highlighted the Grilled Chicken Green Goddess, which offers a harmonious blend of smoky chicken, perfectly cooked six-minute eggs, and a light pink pickled onion that tantalizes the taste buds.

If you’re in the mood for sharing, don't miss out on their exquisite appetizers during Happy Hour; they're as delicious as they are inviting. Robert McKay and his party enjoyed an array of small plates that left them satisfied and returning for more. And let's not forget the desserts—though one guest felt the chocolate cake didn’t quite match the caliber of the main dishes, it still concluded their meal on a sweet note.

For those planning a visit, expect live entertainment, as Dayna Stokes and her husband enjoyed a lovely evening accompanied by local music. The restaurant's commitment to creating memorable experiences is palpable, making it a noteworthy addition to North Bay's culinary scene. So, whether you're a local or just passing through, make a special trip to Match Eatery & Public House. You won't regret it!
